A person bought a chip I advertized on this board a short time ago. I promised to donate 25% of the sale price to the Club building fund. The chip was consigned to me by an acquaintance. After making an unconditional offer that I accepted, the buyer has thus far refused to send me his postal address and does not answer posts. I told him that he had to be completely satisfied with the chip and if not to return it and I would pay postage both ways. He is one of our "good guys" and thus I will not reveal his name. He is a mamber of the CC>CC. My question is whether I should report him to the ethics committee or just forget about it. After advising the consignor of the apparent lack of interest, our relationship has been strained and I feel compelled to buy the chip from him at the offered price less the 25% (fee). Any reaction?
