I once won a very rare pearl plaque on eBay from a seller who previously sold paper goods that can easily be mailed in an envelope. Well, this seller was from France where they use ultra-thin paper for everything except bathroom tissue.. and you guessed it, the pearl plaque was simply placed in a paper envelope wrapped in thin paper, and I received it undamaged.
