As far as AK goes... I have gotten knocked out of a more tournaments with AK than anything else. From my tournament experience, I now feel AK is overrated and overplayed. I don't play it as fast as I used to (in NL) unless I'm the first raiser. In even your example, the AK suited is a little better than 2-1 favorite against 10-4 unsuited!

I would rather have AK anyday against 10-4 unsuited. Just saying that it's not as huge of a favorite as some think it is. If up against a bigger stack, I would rather fold it against an all-in bettor then gamble with my tournament survival.
