Welcome to the World of Casino Chip Collecting. Collecting, of course, can be an individual thing (as you have been doing), but it can also be an organized hobby, as many on this Message Board have been doing.

This Meaasge Board is a cross-over spot, in that not all participants are within the organized hobby environments, nor are all the organized hobby participants on this message board.

Within the organized hobby arena, there are several formal Clubs and several less formal Clubs or Groups. As a representative of the largest formal club (the Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club, Inc.) I encourage you to visit the Club's web-site (www.ccgtcc.com) to check out membership and other associated goodies. The CCGTCC is about 2,700 members strong, and we are rapidly coming up to our annual Convention in Las Vegas.

Within the less formal club/group environments, you will find collectors who acquire and sell chips at face-value (plus postage), to eachother with an expectation that each member does likewise.

My strongest recommendation is to regularly read and post to this message board. You will likely learn a lot here both by reading and then asking questions.
