I can't attest to what will happen to newer chips made for collectors, Tom, but my collection contains quite a lot of old chips made to gamble with and I've had no problems in 10 years. The potential for damage to collector chips in vinyl holders nas been greatly exaggerated in the hobby.

If it concerns you though, put your chips in cardboard holders, and then into the plastic pages. You only get 20 to a page this way, though.
