Andy - you're pretty funny - you can quote my posts but you can't get the name of the anti-virus folks right. It's just like the copy and paste you did with selected portions of my post.

Three letters - AVG - not all that hard for a guy who has to remember conversations because his email client doesn't quote the original - ala AO-Hell.

Anyone who has need of tech support for AVG really shouldn't have a computer. It's all point and click - and unlike Norton it really works, doesn't hog system resources, or screw with other applications/services on your box.

Hey for the $180 you paid McAffee, I could have a techie come to my house twice, probably 3x.

If you are online and are also new to anti-virus software, you have a death wish. No sense in talking about less than 1% of users who may fall into this category - they are screwed before they start anyway.

7 Years since you had Compuserve? Wow information seems to have perpetual life in cyberspace. Strange.

Bill - excellent point about keeping the OS updated and patched. Microsnot catches hell for security issues, but Linux/Unix ain't all that much better, believe me. It's just that less people use it.
