That means your only choices will be from the indian casinos.

These 3 while not the shortest distance are the newest construction and thus should have the latest slots and most types of table games.

6.Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage, CA E of LA (110)
7.Barona in Lakeside, CA S of LA.(120)
The closest would be San Manuel in Highland, CA E of LA (80) but they are still under construction on their new casino and the old operation is a bit rundown.
If they can live with just limited types of table games then the card rooms are much closer and I would suggest:
