I don't believe I ever said that it wasn't possible. I just have reasons for not wanting to do it.

I have always maintained that making new users register before they post will prevent some people from ever posting. When those people that have lurked for a while finally get up the nerve to make their first post, I wanted it to be as easy as possible. Every new contributor just makes the board better. I don't want to lose a single one.

It's a shame that some people just can't treat others with what used to be common courtesy and respect. There is a big difference between playing by the rules and playing nice. A few who post here aren't playing nice. What a shame.
