You are not cancelling bids. You are selling to the high bidder albeit a bit early. If anyone else wanted the chip they could have bid earlier.

There is nothing wrong (as I see it) with stopping your own auction and selling to the high bidder. If they was something wrong, why would ebay allow that option.
