It takes more of your time and effort and it will end up not allowing you to make as much on your auctions. Many people don't like being "sniped", myself included, but it's just a fact of eBay life. Most people accept this fact and either join them (the "snipers") or learn to live with it (I am in the latter group). I put what I want to pay as my bid price & go from there...if I really want the chip, I will watch the auction close and throw in a higher bid at the end. If I win it great...if not, that's fine too because someone wanted it more then cheap ol' me. The "sniping" programs are available to everyone and fairly reasonable in cost...and they are here to stay, whether "GOLDPLATED" allows them or not.
A very nice gesture on your part, Skip, towards those of us who do not use a sniping program...but as an eBay seller, I think that you're shooting yourself in the foot.
