I'm just very excited about our speaker at the Convention dinner. I've tried but I can't think of a more interesting person. My hat's off to Tyrus. Here are three interesting things about Mr. Maheu: 1) For years he represented Howard Hughes in all his Vegas dealings yet never met him in the flesh. 2) He got Hughes' OK to sell a parcel of land next to Caesars' to Steve Wynn. This was the only piece of land Hughes ever sold and I'd like to know why. Wynn turned a very quick profit and this purchase started his empire. 3) In the early sixties the CIA had a plan to employ the mob to assasinate Castro and Maheu was the key link between these two organizations. And Mr. Maheu says we can ask about anything. Oh boy!
