It got extrememly windy! Even though it was wonderfully warm, nobody was buying. I found a couple of great post cards (one from the Bank Club)but the guy wanted 12.00 each !!! I'm sorry, but it just wasnt THAT cool. My opinion of the show is that just about everything is about doubloe the price of what you'd find in an antique mall. Common advertising encased pennies had a $1.00 pricetag in one booth, while in another they wanted $13.00. I almost choked.
There was one guy that had 20 misc common poker chips in a straight, 100 chip plastic rack. They were a mix of jockey chips, a couple yorkie chips, and airplane chips. He wanted $75.00 for them as "a set". He must have been an eBay seller, because he informed me that they were very, very old, and very scarce. I asked him if that meant that they were rare and hard to come by. He quickly afirmed that they indeed were! I can real close to buying them...but alas, the frozen yogurt stand was calling to me.
By far, most of the show is furniture, but there are other misc old things. Casino stuff is not very common here, and when you do find it, its priced much higher then its worth. I've come to this show many many times, and in all the times going there, I haven't found squat.
But still, I like the hunt, and I enjoy large fairs. especially when I can drive up in weather like we had today.
