On Sunday, June 13, just a couple of days prior to the opening of this year’s CC & GTCC Convention in Las Vegas, Chip Chat will conduct an auction of the late Will Posthumus’ Louisiana illegal chips, comprised of 123 auction lots of some of the most attractive crest and seals ever produced and some of the rarest chips ever manufactured for gaming establishments in Louisiana.
Then, on Monday, June 14th, Chip Chat will conduct a very special auction of Nevada chips - specifically selected chips from the collection of the late Bruce Landau. From Las Vegas to Laughlin, Reno to Wendover, from the lake resorts of Tahoe to the desert clubs of Wells, chips from all those places will be auctioned off, with a selection of chips suited to the price-range of the beginner as well as the experienced hobbyist.
This two-day event will be held at Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur Boulevard in Las Vegas. All early-bird CC & GTCC convention-goers are welcome; however bidding is restricted to subscribers of Chip Chat only. Also, for early arrivals, Chip Chat has arranged to have a block of rooms set aside at Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur, with a special room rate of $35.00 per night (not including taxes or other fees). To reserve a room, calls Arizona Charlie’s at 1-800-342-2695 and ask for the “Chip Chat Group Rate.”
A catalogue of Will Posthumus’ Louisiana illegal chips will be included in the next regular issue of Chip Chat, Issue #35, which will be published by the end of April. The cost of this issue is $5.50, and its purchase will make the buyer eligible to bid on any lot in Chip Chat’s Summer Auction of 2004. If you don’t subscribe to Chip Chat but are still interested in being a bidder, a subscription to this issue will automatically make you an eligible bidder. For current subscribers to Chip Chat, you are automatically eligible to make any bid.
If you wish to subscribe only to Issue #35, please send your payment of $5.50 to the address listed below.
If you wish to subscribe to regular issues of Chip Chat, and become automatically eligible to bid in future auctions, including more chips from the Bruce Landau chip collection, send your check or money order in the amount of $21.00 for six issues to:
