Here's a paragraph from the latest Las Vegas Advisor on the plans for the centennial celebration in Las Vegas next year. Will be nice to see Helldorado parades again!

Introducing it as "the biggest year-long birthday party in the history of the universe," Mayor Oscar Goodman presented plans for Las Vegas' centennial celebration, beginning in late 2004 and culminating on May 15, 2005. The plans include a revival of Helldorado Days, which began in 1934 and ended in 1997. The educational television network PBS has announced plans for a full-blown three-hour documentary on Las Vegas, to be aired on its "American Experience" series in conjunction with the centennial.
