I cannot answer for the higher valued chips as I buy only $1, $2.50 & $5 chips from current casinos.
If the chip is new or still on the table, the price asked by most dealers on our board (not eBay) is $2 or $3 for a $1 chip and $7 or $8 for a $5 chip and that would include P&S. And there are some good ol' boys (and girls) who will pick up chips for you at face + P&S...they'll post on the board. On eBay you will expect ordinarily to pay a little more when you add in the P&S. For obsolete chips (no longer in play or from closed casinos) the sky's the limit. Before I bid on Nevada chips I go to TCR and Campiglia & Wells' guides for guidelines. Although occasionnaly I have paid too much (e.g., the other day I paid $34 for an "F" rated chip but didn't have one from that long ago casino). eBay sellers have to pay a price for their listings and that jacks up the prices on the lesser denomination chips some.
