There are so few of them, Thank God. Legends at the Trop had some made but they had no resemblance to actual trays.

A year or so ago this woman from Houston was selling Desert Inn Hobnails. While this is not an ultra scarce tray, they still don't show up all to regularly. She just kept listing them. I still thought "Well, maybe she found a case of them."

I asked a few people that bought them to look them over closely. One guy says, "It has an Owens-Illinois makers mark on the bottom." Ding, Ding!! I have never seen a casino ashtray with a glassmakers mark on it.

Then another says, "When I looked at my PayPal account, it showed the money going to HD Screen Print."

That was enough for me. I had a list of everyone that had bought them. I Emailed them all and said that they might want to request a refund. She did refund everyone's money that asked.

The phonies are pretty easy to spot if you know what to look for. We are very fortunate that it isn't much of a problem.
