When I 1st started collecting chips, I remember reading in the US Guide that the trend in US chip collecting was Vegas, then Tahoe, followed by Reno and smaller towns, then CO, SD and AC.

My question is in regards to foreign chips and what countries are the most popularalily collected. I can remember when I was collecting foreign coins, the choice was South American, followed by African and Asian, then Individual European Countries.

So, has anybody done a break-down of the most popular foreign chip issuing countries as collected by chippers? For instance, I see alot of South America and Carribean listed for sale, but this just may reflect the membership and the memberships relationship to eBay.

I wonder what areas non-members collect in?

I think this whole idea/discussion would make an interesting study. Hmmm...I think I just had an idea for an article!

Anyway...post your thoughts, I'll gather them and see what I can run with (if anything).
