You are correct... I basically have blackjack type felt on my table and I don't like it. I made my table so that the outer arm cushion ring pops right off so putting another layout on my table will be easy. My table is 93" long (by 46" wide) so it's a good sized one.

I am interested in a top quality product and would be willing to splurge for a casino quality layout. I'll be in Vegas for the convention so I'll make a trip to the GGS and see what they have.
