Needless to say that President Bush is no great orator and there are some things he has done or proposes to do that I hardily disagree with (e.g. proposing yet another amnesty for ILLEGALS, laxed security on our borders, his excessive spending on everything not military related and his proposed prescription bill for the elderly--of which I am one, just to name a few.)
However, most important to me--above EVERYTHING else, is the security of this country and I have no doubt whatsoever, that President Bush is the man of the hour to provide us with that protection.
Senator Kerry said that some foreign leaders told him they want President Bush defeated. If that statement is true, I can just imagine who they might be--all the leaders of the 22 Arab nations in the middle East and North Africa, France, Germany and Russia, Cuba, North Korea and now Spain, just to name a few--all the countries that want us defeated and become a third world nation.
If Kerry (God forbid) ever did become president, our military would be downsized, our superpower status would be diminished and our childrens future would definately be in jeopardy.
President Bush did the right thing by preempting an attack on Iraq (WMD or not.) He had the courage past presidents after President Truman (D) lacked. He was the one that finally said, "that's enough." The SS Cole was attacked, our embassies around the world have been attacked, establishments where our GI's visited were attacked, our barracks were attacked--and no one ever retailated until this administration acted.
Was 9/11 inevitable? Sure it was for the enemy was pretty sure we would do nothing about it just as we have not done in the past.
Yes, as I opined in the beginning, there are many things that I don't care for that the current administration is doing, but given the alternative, I'm a strong supporter of our present leader and above all, the party he represents.
