The software is excellent, but is difficult to approximate the play at very low levels (up to about $3-6). Still, it will improve your play. I agree with the others that you should also read a number of books. Lee Jones book is excellent. Also, for Hold 'Em, read Lou Krieger's Hold 'Em Excellence and More Hold 'Em Excellence. When you have read those a couple of times, buy Sklansky's Hold 'Em Poker for advanced players (geared more to higher levels, but helpful to learn how to think against better opponents). Mike Caro's Book of Tells is also helpful. You need different books for tournament play. Good luck.
