I guess my problem is I never took reading comprehension.

From the auction:

"The face of the watch is made from a $100 chip which was shaved down to fit the watch face.It measures 1 1/8" across."

I assumed that "shaved" meant that the diameter of the chip was reduced (or shaved) from 1.5" to 1.125".

If the thickness of the chip was shaved from 1/8" to 1/16" I don't see how the movement could ever be handled without the face disintergrating.

Again, I must take reading comprehension.
