David...Before I started with gather my chips I had a truck load of match books so I went to a matchbook collectors site and they collect just the covers for the real matchbook collectors. For the casino people I have asked this question way to late, but they what it intact for trading or keeping. I unfortuantely to save space removed some nice old matches and put them in a nice folders that would hold more. Now I find I made a mistake for I have some very nice Vegas matchbook covers (the clue is covers to the matchbook collectors). As you can see even removing the actual matches take some doing with harming the cover. So collecting the way Pam G. shows is the best way. Find a way to store them is the biggest question.
