I, too, found the auction misleading. I listed genuine Bud Jones chips at the time of that auction and a few people emailed me asking me whether his chips were really bud jones. I told them no and provided the appropriate links to the company site. I then got a nasty email from the seller saying I shouldn't be communicating with his bidders and reported me to Ebay safeharbor and so forth. I said I did not say his chips weren't better or worse than mine. I just stated provable facts. I haven't heard anything from Ebay yet.
Well...even after he knows the true manufacturer of his chips, he still doesn't let bidders know in his new listing of the exact same chips. He still keeps that part referring them to Bud Jones type, since, technically he isn't lying. Kind of sneaky, if you ask me. He says they are rare, but he probably has a few thousand more left to sell. I also asked a friend of mine to ask him if he knew who the manufacturer of the chips are, since by now he definitely does. I'll post his reply when I get it. Just wish everyone looking for chips would come here and seek expert help first, so they wouldn't feel duped when they see them in the mail. Thanks, Michael Petty, for providing me with the information in advance a few days ago when the auction first appeared.
