For some reason PayPal will allow you to add new Bank Accounts, but will not let you take old ones away, even if they are cancelled accounts.

I recently had my checkbook stolen, and had to open a new checking account in PayPal. Whenever I needed to pay someone, I had to select Other Payment Types, then select the new account #.

Just recently on my last two payments I forgot to select the new account. The bank declined the payment, and it was charged to my charge card instead. Fortunately both of the Ebayer's accepted credit cards.

On the plus side, because of the declines, PayPal has removed the old account # from my PayPal account. But it's still a pretty stupid walk-around to get an old account # withdrawn.
