Two notable gambling movies on TV tonight, on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) -- all times given are Eastern:
(1) first, is the "Shanghai Gesture," an over-the-top, wild, sinister "film noir" with a great cast and director (Josef von Sternberg). Very enjoyable gambling den atmosphere. To be enjoyed for the characters and atmosphere, not to be taken seriously. A real treat.
