To paraphrase a famous Republican, I don't know what I don't know. To paraphrase a famous Democrat, world leaders (you don't need to know who) want me to ask this question. I was reading the latest Chip Chat when I ran across something that took me by surprise. Doug Saito was writing about first chip issue at the Union Plaza in Las Vegas and had this information to impart:

Because of events that prohibited TR King from manufacturing chips for Nevada casinos by the mid-1970's, the Union Plaza made a decision to issue a new series of house chips...

For some reason I never made the connection that while TR King is still making chips, they make none for Nevada. Doh! So what were the events in the mid-1970's that chased TR King outta Nevada? To paraphrase the entire Green party, I don't get it!
