I've read nothing that would indicate "LE chips" have been stopped completely. What I have read ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD ONLY is that future chips issued in the State of Nevada can no longer say "LTD", or have serial numbers, or # such and such of X amount, and can no longer be sold from the cage.

In fact, in the original post by David Spragg(which has since been deleted) he specified that so many chips had to be sent out to the tables and so many could be retained in the cage.

I'm no attorney, and I've not read the official GCB document ... and my assumption may be entirely incorrect ... but I didn't read any prohibition on thechipboard.com that a Nevada casino (yes ... even 4 Queens) could NOT issue a chip commemorating the 4th of July chip as an example ... as long as it was not numbered or indicated that it was a LTD issue (LE).

If somebody knows differently FOR SURE ... I would welcome reading their post.

BTW: Does anyone else find Gene Trimble's silence on this subject to be deafening?
