This is what I said at the first alerts, and I got a flock of emails telling me that this was the "end of chip collecting" and the end of LEs and no more silver strikes and other things.
I'll still wait and see.
Last I looked there were about 38 states that offered casino chips.
9th edition of TCR listed 12,214 general use chips. 1,628 $1 chips, 4,227 $5 chips and over 1,000 different fractional chips.
There's no shortage of chips from Nevada. No shortage of chips from around the country.
Someone could just collect $1 Nevada chips and have quite a fine collection and an interesting time finding more and more.
The above doesn't include, NCVs, roulettes, tournament and special use chips.
There are probably less that 100 chips issued from Wisconsin Indian Casinos and I still haven't got all of them... I can't imagine anyone running out of chips to collect from Nevada, even if they closed every casino tomorrow.
