What impact, if any, will the new NV GCB regulations on chips have on our convention in June? Of particular concern is the requirement to cash in all chips before leaving a casino. Will the GCB have a problem with all the chips on the bourse floor or in the possession of collectors? Will current NV chips in the hands of dealers & collectors outside of the casino of issue be viewed as a violation of NV regulations and subject to confiscation by the GCB? Will the GCB goes so far as to confiscate those chips? Scary thought!
I remember Harrah's was concerned about their chips being for sale during a chip show in Tunica (Jim Kruse's show) a couple of years ago. All dealers were required to pull all Harrah's chips from the tables and instructed not to sell them. That applied to all Harrah's chips from any location not just Tunica. Could we have a similar situation here?
Thoughts anyone?
