You're right, there are still many

great chips to collect, however, there is a fundamental problem...

If NIS's begin to close up and the ones left raise their prices (like they'll be forced to do), you won't be able to just visit a website and shop for any chip your heart desires at affordable prices.

What does all this mean? It'll be harder to get the chips you want. You'll have to find a trading partner who has what you want and also wants something you have (not the easiest thing to do).

Bottom line, the hobby will likely return to it's grass-roots (for most people) - people all over the country buying chips from their local casinos and trading them for others around the country.
