Actually, Archie, that's exactly what I'd asked John when he gave me this information.
I was researching an article I was writing about limited editions, and called John for information and quotes. He was his normal gracious self, and spent some time with me on the phone.
I brought up the issue of the Caesars 25th anniversary chip, and indicated that there had been a lot of publicity about the chip when it was issued, and the press release Caesars issued indicated that they would destroy any remaining chips at the end of the anniversary year.
I asked John if he knew, because there had been no publicity about destruction, how many may have been destroyed. He told me the reason there was no publicity is that there was no destruction - all 50,000 were gone at the end of the year!
