Thanks for the link, Andy. Great article. I live in a village style complex like that here in Lexington and, once you get used to it, it's hard to be happy with anything else. EVERYTHING is right outside your door, and yet if they design it right, there is still a feeling of privacy and seclusion to the residential units.
I wasn't surprised to read in the article that they are reconsidering selling the residential units, as opposed to renting them. Anyone willing to pay a rent like that would prefer to buy. I think they will sell them. As for the name change to match the theme discussed in the article, "Green Valley Village" would have been perfect. Village style living is exactly what that is. At least that's what they call it around here. But what do we know in Kentucky?
Hey, but our deal stands. If they do rent them, you pay the first years rent and I'll pay the second - contingent upon my Omaha winnings of course.
Keep us posted with the next article if they finalize plans to either sell or rent the residential units.
