Re: Any news; casino chips: Hobby Protection Act ?

I just scanned the act and see "tokens" mentioned. Didn't have time too look at the case law.

Anyone know a case citation where chip collectors are expressly exempted? Party name, state, court?

Common law and/or stautory fraud would apply and to be honest, I'd rather sue the person myself rather than have the Feds do it.

If they are the only enforcement agency and you can't get them interested because you bought a $600 Silver Slipper that has been counterfeited or repaired/restored, you are out of luck without a civil remedy.

Believe me when I say nobody would chase them down like I would.

I got a guy that thought he was slick and I chased him through 3 jurisdictions. Well now I have him cornered and no mercy - I am going to kick his brains out (figuratively speaking of course) and enjoy every minute. It will wind up costing him 3 to 5 times what he THOUGHT he burned me for.

I agree there should be protection for collectors of all things, but I would still rely on the fraud statute of my home state.

LMK what happens
