The hobby protection bill that was passed many years ago was the result of a hard campain by coin collectors and dealers to stop the production of restrikes and place the word copy on such items when they were made to protect the collector. If an item such as a medal was made in the year 2000 was limited to 2000 pcs and they sold out and they wanted to make more in the year 2001, then they would have to make a notation on that medal such as copy or restrike so the collector would no that it was not one of the first strike pcs. Now if we could get the casino chips placed into that act it would make it very had for a casino to have LE's remade at a later date. This would protect the chip and token collector. We know that some of the casinos have had some LE's remade years after the first ones were issued.
