I doubt this change - if it ever happens - will stop the production of Limited Editions - it is just too lucrative for the clubs. The numbers produced can still be published - just not put onto the chip. I suppose that means they could always make some more at a later date so it adds a little risk to the early buyers. I like the idea of requiring that at least some the chips be placed on the tables - they at least are then REAL gambling chips. Besides, it might be possible to find something worth keeping when I play a few hands.

I don't think my opinion means much in this discussion though since I don't collect LEs - except for my wife's Statue of Liberty chips and I already have 14 of those to fill my frame... I love the old obsolete chips though...
