I didn't know Steve very well, only having met him a couple of years ago after he took over some of the convention arrangements that George Conrad's passing had left unfilled. He made a first impression upon me that won't be forgotten with his easy manner and his friendly Santa Claus smile. Our deepest condolences to his wife and family.
