"OUT OF 10 BOXES OF THESE CHIPS, 9 BOXES WERE COMPLETLY DESTROYED."
Per The Burt Co manufacturing records 250 boxes (25,000) of these chips were delivered. The above statement leaves 240 boxes (24,000) chips unaccounted for.
"THERE ARE 90 CHIPS PER BOX...."
There are 100 chips in a box.
CT:
"Upper management did not like them and order them returned for new chips."
No record of the chips being returned.
If Caesars had returned chips they had approved the art work on, they would have eaten the cost of the 25,000 order.
I want to dispute the 4th issue claim.
The chips were delivered in 1972. That means Caesars had 4 different racks in 6 years. Thats a lot of racks in a very short time.
Please understand I am not disputing the fact it is a great find. I am not disputing only 100 UNC chips exist. I have no knowledge of the find and I had never seen the chip before.
I would not even be in this thread except for the ebay seller alluding to only 10 boxes and 9 being destroyed. That statement peaked my interest. 10 boxes of chips wouldn't even service 1 crap table for 24 hours.
