Obviously I know nothing about the convention business and I would be the first to admit that. Common sense tells me that "groups" would normally get a discount and not have to pay more than then going rate.
Sounds like you're saying that in order to keep the costs down for the convention space and convention goers, the club members who register with the hotel as part of the convention are paying more to keep the cost down for everyone else...
Seem like it's robbing Peter to pay Paul. There again I don't know anything the process and apprecate the information. Thanks for helping me out understand it a little better.
