TCR has a detail on it if you look up the chip.

I asked and was told that it was created to cheat the casino, not collectors.

I have a fake and it's pretty obvious (after you know what to look for). The words "Downtown" on the insert are really fuzzy.

The Freemont was mob owned, so maybe they were skimming themselves with these?

Who made them? I don't know but it makes me wonder because as far as I can tell, the mold looks very good - it's just on the inlay that they fell short.

If I had the molds today I am pretty sure I could do a better job (passable) on the inlay if I had a notion to do so.

If you find out anything else, I'm interested in hearing it.
