So then they should have all matching Serial Nos?

I feared this might be the case sad. I believe the sets I've seen auctioned before all had matching numbers. Any ideas on how this discrepancy would affect the desirability/value of the set? If they were all issued together, I presume the assumption would be that the serial numbers would match, and if not it would be less (as is the case with me, sadly enough).

Reading through the auction, the seller didn't specifically say that the numbers didn't match, so he really didn't misrepresent the set, although I suppose I should have clarified with an e-mail before bidding (since that is what I presumed). Again it's probably not the end of the world, but with my OCD nature it will always kind of bug me vbg.

Would it be fair to ask the seller to take back the set and get a refund, or should I just buck up and get over it?

Thanks to all for any thoughts,
