Gene is correct. This is the main street, U.S. Highway 93, in "downtown" Ketchum, Idaho in the late 1930's. Actually, it looks pretty much the same today! Those buildings are still there, and it's still called "The Casino." The Casino only had gaming for a short period, actually, but the name has stuck for all these decades. It is perhaps the most famous watering hole in all of Idaho, especially among ski bums. Gambling was finally outlawed in Idaho in 1950 (including slots, which had been allowed with local tolerance until then).
