If they had the drawings showing tile all the way across, I would bet they scratched it on Wednesday because of time & not because of the budget. If that one guy Tony had shown up on time every day they could have finished the tile work! I like your idea to cover the bar. As you said, it will REALLY make a difference in the summer.
