News was saying that the place was a madhouse last night for the Grand Opening, so I waited til 0400 am today to drive down. Hour and a half later I pull into the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa! Place is beautiful! Outside is done in the same colors of its Vegas counterpart, just much bigger. Inside I go. First to the gift shop. The Grand Opening chips are being sold from here. NONE in table play. Cost? $40 bucks plus tax. They have definetely cornered the market with these. Bought 4. Off to the Poker Room. It is sooooo nice to have real poker in FL. With a tip to the Brush I was able to get 20 sets of each denom available new from the vault. The $25 chip is not currently in play. They are on hold until Flori-duh decides on the Seminoles request for Class III gaming. Off to the truck to unload and back inside for some Hold-em. On the way out I take with me another 50 $1 chips. Back to Orlando. Round trip 197 miles.

House Chip Sets: (Scan below) I kept a set for my collection and "The Stuminator" Lovett has a set on the way. That leaves 18 sets left. Face is $8.75 and I will deliver them to you for $12.00

Grand Opening Sets:(Scan below) After tax these came to $42.50 each. Each are in a sleeved jewel case with airtights and holders. (See pic) I stopped at Office Depot and bought boxes to ship them in and it will cost roughly $5 to ship. I have a total of 3 sets for $55.00 delivered.
