I do pretty much what you do, only I usually am able to buy in for $40. I make 4 bets of 5 numbers straight up and pocket the other 20 chips. I only play when there are 2 or 3 other players so I have time to leave. Every roulette I have cost me pretty much $2 each, some more.

There have been times when as soon as I bought in, the other players left and I ended up losing the whole $40 without getting any chips. On the other hand, one time at the Grand in Biloxi, the table was such a madhouse, 2 of us bought in, then just walked away with all 40 chips. They were too busy to even notice.
