" JM---It's a casino chip, I guess it's merchandise" Off went the clerk to the postmaster. He returns to tell me that casino chips can't be insured. So I registered it at $7.79. I didn't want to have it lost and no tracking system. Next time I'll tell him it's merchandise PERIOD. Live and learn. You folks have been really helpful. This was the first time I attempted to insure any chips. This one had a little more valuem, so I wanted to protect myself and the recipient. Thanks for your advice.
