I never had a problem insuring gambling chips or filing/collecting on a claim with the USPS... and I've had some pretty detailed claims with TCR numbers and values listed on bills of sale. I've even opened damaged packets in the presence of at least three postmasters (postmasters; not clerks) thru the years (...and those persons who were directly involved in the claims are reading this post ).
