Since I used Norton so far so good. You are absolutely right that "nothing is safe" from the worms and the viruses. I know for a fact that even Bill Gates money cannot protect his company to be invaded by "virus hackers". However, Western Digital provides user to "disconect safely" thru the Windows Unplug or Eject Hardware icon. After I backup to the external hard drive I turn it off.

By the way are you building a computer system? May I know the specs?
