Greetings
I purchased a nice set of chips from Five Star Deal. In my case I wanted ten different colours. I did 200 chips in each colour. Now that's a lot of chips, but at our roulette parties we usually have about eight players. (Plus it looks really cool having that many coulours around the wheel).
You certainly can do less colours and and less quanities of each, that is up to you. You will need some house chips ( $5 $25 and $100 ) for payouts, and to take some of the burden of having to carry so many roulette chips.
If you are going to only have 5 or 6 players at a time then six different colours of chips would work fine.
Try www.fivestardeal.com, or check you search engine for his site. The chips I use are 11.5 gram, lessor weight chips tend to fall over and are harder to handle.
LMK if you have any other questions or thoughts on this.
