My personal choice is HP. I have one now that has been flawless for 1 1/2 years. It is not only reliable, it has excellent "Help" files built in for any tutorials you may wish to access.
Dell is also a good choice. You can go to their site and build one to you own specs or look at their refurbished ones for significant savings.
AMD may be O.K but my preference is for a Intel Pentium processor. They are fast and reliable!
