I just got a chip from an eBay auction where the chip was taped to a paper with a wide peice of cellophane tape. It was a hot Stamp chip too! Luckily, i was able to slowly remove the tape and the hot stamp was okay. The chip was covered with the sticky tape residue. I was able to carefully clean it up with Goo Be Gone.

Of course I emailed the seller and educated him poiltely. Unless someone points these things out to the unknowing public, they have no way of knowing.
